these are from my second trip up to port elgin. the leaves were starting to change so we took to the woods to collect firewood and goof around amongst the trees.

almost caught up on pre-haircut outfits. i just have the 2nd trip to port elgin left, so maybe 2 more posts. i love this look because i finally cropped this vintage leather skirt and i've been wanting a leather circle skirt ever since i saw a cos one a few years back. it's so perfect. i thought i could have made it a bit shorter but then it would be a strictly evening thing, plus it's the high waist that makes it seem longer then it is. it's the kind of skirt you just want to spin around in.

empire state of mind. nyc. part 2

day three nyc: we went for manicures and then checked out central park. it was so nice to see it in the fall even though the leaves weren't all changed yet. after we did a bit of shopping (surprise surprise!) before heading to madison square park to have lunch at shake shack. the best burger! the cupcake truck was parked right beside the park too we we got some yummy treats. i don't have any pictures from the rest of the trip but i'll post some from my sister's camera if she has some. basically that night we had the most delicious steak ever at stk. what a gorgeous restaurant and a perfect meal. then on our last morning we had time to wander the city before lunch at la esquina which i enjoyed but not as much as cafe habana.... the only thing i wished i got to spend more time in was washington square park but that will have to wait until next time nyc.
