my favourite purchase of 2010 - isabel marant lacow boots

this might just be my favourite outfit of the whole year. all the major elements also happen to be purchased in 2010. you may recognize this set because i got my head shot for loulou magazine from it. there was such pretty lighting on my porch that afternoon. i wore this for one of my favourite lazy day activities book shopping/starbucks lounging. i've probably spent more on books than clothing since i got back from nyc, i need an intervention! jj. i like buying books you can't stop me..;)
seeing these pictures makes me ache for winter to be over so i can wear my marants again ...the world's best shoe... sigh* and my best purchase of the year.
sweater: lf stores, skirt: victoria's secret pink, socks: h&m, shoes: isabel marant, bag: mulberry leah, ring: free people, necklaces: tiffany's and etsy

the last of 2010 - vintage ♥

after weeks of zero blogging motivation the sudden realization that i have numerous "2010" outfits still to post and it's dawning on 2011 is kicking my o.c.d. into gear. now there's no way i can post them all today, to start fresh in the new year, but you will get one a day until they're done, so yeah! for new material. this look is beyond old, maybe mid-october? i finally figured out that the perfect companion to my vintage betsey johnson floral shorts is a loose cropped top. i adore the heart knit on this piece and that it's from the brand, pelican cove. i remember my sister shopping there when i was little, but it was closed down by the time i got old enough to wear their stuff. in fact, it seams the whole outfit is vintage :) love that. i also tossed in a mirror shot for old times sake.
leather jacket, shorts, sweater, boots all vintage, 2007 balenciaga step and my mom's old omega watch.

dreaming of white christmas

baby mossy and i are wishing you snowflakes, cookies, handbags and lots of holiday cheer
happy christmas lovelies!

loulou: behind the scenes

some behind the seen action from when i shot with louloumagazine.com. such and great experience, make sure you check out my megan fox brow tutorial if you haven't already here. it was crazy to take two flights in one 24 hour period and we managed to cram in the shoot, a non-stop talk blogger dinner, unsuccessful vintage shopping and a very few hours of sleep. watching the audience react to all of oprah's favourite things while flying home was the hilarious icing on the plate. much love to stephanie and elizabeth, my fellow celeb dopplegangers and the lovely s. for bringing it all together. these shots are mine and her's, check out her blog le cheap c'est chic for more.
the amazing very early montreal morning view from our hotel room
the girls stephanie, yours truly, elizabeth and stephanie
s. at work.
elizabeth getting "lively", amazing hair!
trying to be natural and not look awkward while being shot, so weird to have a camera thisclosetoyourface and not being able to see the outcome
my best megan fox
accessories: rndm stall native ring which i lost, american eagle bracelet, rndm silver star bracelet, tiffany's bracelet, mom's vintage omega, american eagle bracelet
asos necklace
my pendleton overnighter and mulberry leah sandwiching stephanie from modern antoinette's vintage chanel
stephanie from le cheap ces't chic's new wang bag, adore!
wearing: vintage shearling, gap scarf, club monaco tee, jbrand cargos, aritzia belt, american eagle socks and aldo boots.
finally for some s#@t's and giggs, the quality isn't the best but it's pretty ridicules.

loulou, megan fox and me

a few weeks ago i was invited by loulou magazine to take part in a "get their look" celebrity beauty feature. i travelled to montreal with the lovely elizabeth from chic heroin and after an extremely early call time we, along with stephanie from modern antoinette, were all transformed into our celebrity looks. elizabeth and stephanie had blake lively's golden waves and carey mulligan's porcelain skin respectively and my look was megan fox's bold brow. the tutorials were all filmed for louloumagazine.com so make sure you check out our looks here and at louloumagazine.com/beautychallenge.
we were also asked to re-create what we learned at home so here goes, keep in mind i am nowhere near a pro at make up application :)
the "before" shot pre-fox-i-fication.
the "after" - foxed.
the focus of my loulou magazine tutorial was megan's dramatic brow. i've never actually filled in my brows before so it was nice to learn something new and see the effect it would have on my regular make up routine.
you can watch my vlog below to see how i applied this look and all the products i used. thanks so much to loulou for asking me to be a part of this, it was an awesome experience! a special thanks to all involved esp. rosalie and stephanie, check out her blog post here for more behind the scenes .

top of the rock nyc 2010

day four: waking up early & walking over to rockafeller center, a laser light show elevator ride to the top, amazing amazing amazing views of the city, wind blown hair, too many pictures, a starbucks for the road (they never get my name right in nyc and they don't do the name thing in canada) the best waffle ever - i love you waffle truck, celebrating halladay's no hitter with a gialt bobblehead (but i'm glad san fran beat them in the end), a ridicules limo ride to the airport and a sad flight out of nyc.... until 2011.
jacket: h&m, shirt: scotch and soda (my guys gift), jeans: citizens, shoes: ash, bag:mulberry leah
