it's been a long time since an outfit shot, you can tell. i'm wearing hunters and although this summer has been far from the usual sweltering, humid july,these shots are from june. i'm channeling some early eighties degrassi/dexys midnight runners in my barber shirt and bowler hat. this shirt really shines when tucked into something high waisted but it looks retro-cute loose too. what i want to know is what do you all want? i've gone from a personal style site with sporadic editorial and inspirational posts to a site that's the polar opposite. do you like the shift or do you want more of my outfits? i'm curious to hear your thoughts because my followers have increased since the change but personally i always enjoy the personal stuff.

i was instantly attracted to this editorial. i know it's just some studio shots but emily didonato has such great energy and the clothes are both covetable and wearable. not every spread needs to be aspirational. i love the styling so much. silver pants, glimmer shorts, slim leathers, cutoffs and blazers, sequins and big big waves. james this is the spread, finally.

about the last post...it may be summer but the party hasn't started yet. i leave august 8th and return the 22nd. so happy i'll be back in time to hit the ex too. nothing better then corn dogs, midway games, tiny tom donuts, pizza on a stick and riding the polar express until you want to puke.

two weeks at the lake wearing next to nothing, enjoying the sun, the company of great friends, my lovely boy, eating, fishing, swimming, sleeping.... but no internet! my bloglovin' list will explode from excess posts and how will i keep up with you all? it all goes down august 8th... i'm still completely looking forward to it.

it's very french to me, the way she's beautiful and sexy but not in necessarily a traditional way. a lot like lou and charlotte. but even though she has that "jolie-laide" i always associate her with nyc and "kids". a very important film of my youth and still one of my favourites. she and nyc were the heart of that movie.
