i know every site has had their own coverage of the met ball. but, seeing as it is the new york fashion event of the year i thought it would be worth posting some pictures of it here. i was a little disappointed with the lack of superhero outfits. i felt that people weren't embracing the ball's superhero theme and as a girl who obsessed over xmen as a kid i would have gone all out channeling shadowcat or jubilee. i guess people didn't want to come off as costumey, it wasn't halloween after all. my favourite super hero outfit of the night was kate mara and zac posen as superman. i've loved her since i saw shooter, great movie that makes you lust over mark walburg like he's marky mark again, she is so cute. i also thought christina ricci was very wonder womanlike in her red sheer dress, another amazing beauty. there's some pics of the gossip gang, got to love ed/mr.bass;the fab models coco and kate looking flawless;diane and her man josh, he did not look that good on dawson's creek, she is always on point; the olsens looking very powerful, especially ashley; alexander wang; emily mortimer because she's delightful and charmed the hell out of me during a late night interview the other month; and finally lou doillon with short hair! looking uber cool in marni and leather like only she can, those french girls.
