it's my birthday today! even though getting another year older has lost some of it's appeal, lol. i can't wait to share with you what i picked for my gift this year, such a dream. to everyone else sharing my birthday, including the lovely rachel bilson, i hope this year brings you luck, love and adventure!

thanks for the book recs! i love reading.
i'm trying to think of some recs:
some of my favorite books:
1. prep by curtis sittenfeld. wonderfully written story about a midwestern girl dealing with her new environment in a prep school.
2. a heartbreaking work of staggering genius by dave eggers. possibly my favorite book ever--his memoir told in such a magical way that it comes off as fiction.
3. anything by david sedaris. just got finished reading naked and it's hilarious. check him out if you haven't already.

wondering where you ordered your new shoes (you know which ones ;) from?
I had to return the Joies-- they didn't fit cause i couldnt slide my feet (read: high arch) into them but on the plus side, i am going to order an even better pair (much more marant look a like) from joe's jeans this week. excited to get those! plus, note to self-- never ordering slip on shoes again lol!
