i lovvvee this outfit. i wore it to see the hunger games with my bestie caitlin.
jennifer lawerence you are my hero.
this look includes some of my favourtie fall/winter buys, my equipment silk shirt, my ash birdy wedges and my habitual waxed jeans. classic, quality, wear forever kind of items.
on the road to the grand canyon - arizona highway photo shoots with no cars for miles
that first breathtaking look - unbelievable
at the first viewpoint in my moccs - hazy, windy days and colorado river views
the elements got to me and i had to put the sweater, sunnies and chucks on.
unforgettable - the grand canyon
the drive there was almost deserted, until right outside the park and i kept replaying the national lampoon's vacation song in my head...
the canyon itself, unforgettable/jaw dropping/powerful.
it makes you feel insignificant with it's grandeur and that it's been there forever, literally.
although not as hiker friendly and varied in views as some of the utah parks (you would probably need weeks to truly appreciate all it has to offer), i highly recommend a visit. i hope next time i'll have more than a day there and i'll be able to actually travel into the canyon and along the colorado river. definitely my favourite picture taking spot of the trip, which means there's a part two to this post coming soon..
wearing: vintage shorts, urban outfitters tee, laurentian chief moccasins, converse, rayban over sized wayferers, aritzia sweater, gap sweatshirt (in 1st 2 shots), h&m necklace, pendleton bag, navajo ring.
it actually isn't very snowing in this shot, but i sure was cold. all bundled in my moola boots and vintage leopard print trench. i got this coat maybe 6 years ago for 70$ it feels like velvet, so lush. i wore it so much when i first got it, but it's been hiding in the closet for a while and it was about time for a revival. that's the best thing about vintage you can hang on to it forever and keep re-introducing it into your wardrobe. tomorrow you get too see the outfit underneath...
an outtake from my cougar boots post. you get a better look at my winter accessories. the gap did so many great pieces this season. i picked up this chunky circle scarf and a pair of fingerless gloves. so not warm enough, but absolutely necessary in our touch screen/texting world. def. a true north look.
scarf and gloves: gap, vest and jeans: urban outfitters, boots: thanks to cougar, shirt: vintage, bag: mulberry leah
some behind the seen action from when i shot with louloumagazine.com. such and great experience, make sure you check out my megan fox brow tutorial if you haven't already here. it was crazy to take two flights in one 24 hour period and we managed to cram in the shoot, a non-stop talk blogger dinner, unsuccessful vintage shopping and a very few hours of sleep. watching the audience react to all of oprah's favourite things while flying home was the hilarious icing on the plate. much love to stephanie and elizabeth, my fellow celeb dopplegangers and the lovely s. for bringing it all together. these shots are mine and her's, check out her blog le cheap c'est chic for more.
the amazing very early montreal morning view from our hotel room
trying to be natural and not look awkward while being shot, so weird to have a camera thisclosetoyourface and not being able to see the outcome
my best megan fox
accessories: rndm stall native ring which i lost, american eagle bracelet, rndm silver star bracelet, tiffany's bracelet, mom's vintage omega, american eagle bracelet
asos necklace
my pendleton overnighter and mulberry leah sandwiching stephanie from modern antoinette's vintage chanel
stephanie from le cheap ces't chic's new wang bag, adore!
elizabeth
wearing: vintage shearling, gap scarf, club monaco tee, jbrand cargos, aritzia belt, american eagle socks and aldo boots.

finally for some s#@t's and giggs, the quality isn't the best but it's pretty ridicules.
so summer is truly here. i get to wear all my pretty floral dresses and lose all the layers.
it's always great to finally wear those pieces you bought in the dead of winter during the first spring shipments to the stores. i wore this dress on the first really hot day of the year to lounge on a patio and then sit in the park.....
**summer always brings about blooming lilacs and that's probably my favourite smelling flower. i bought a great perfume today on sale at urban called flower market by save fragrance. it smells just like lilacs so now i can have them with me all year round.
jacket: vintage/diy studded gap, dress: h&m, moccs: minnetonka, necklaces: rackk and ruin and another feather
my winter uniform. skinnies/leggings/ random tee/oversized cardi/boots/huge parka. boring really. but no one can see what i'm wearing anyway under all the layers. that said this is a look i love, comfy, easy, natural. the cardi is a winter09 fav. i picked it up in the men's department at the gap and paired with my fav. shearling moccasins, it makes me very happy.
off to watch the olympics and later dream of marc and mulberry on style.com. i watch the games all day, go canada! and only take breaks to scan the collections online and watch cheesy 90's sports movies like the cutting edge | toe pick |
so far my stand out collections from nyfw have been rag and bone, rebecca taylor, helmut lang and marc jacobs + i loved alexa's madewell line. def. have to make a nyc trip for that.
sweater: gap, tee: american apparel, moccs: hiawatha, leggings: aritzia, polish: essie mint candy apple
