i also wanted to say hello to the two lovelies that recognized me this week. hi jillian! and to the girl who came up to me on queen, i was very surprised and flattered with your kind words. you were so nice! this has only happened once before so i still find it kind of surreal when my real world and my blogging world intersect (not that i'm not the same in both, does this make sense?) Also the best of luck for all that have entered the contest, one more week until the draw!

hey lovelies! a little haul update. just some items i picked up at the winter sales and over the past month, featuring items from aritzia, zara, mulberry and h&m. i also debut my lovely coach contest win from erika's blog fashion chalet, not exactly what was expected but much loved all the same... xxc.

i was given a blog award from j. of things that make you go mmm.

i have to tell you guys seven things about myself and then pass it on to 7 more

lovely bloggers who then have to do the same. so here goes...

1. i buy tons of books but i usually just end up re-reading my favourites over and over.
2. over 50% of my wardrobe is vintage or thrifted. + have two big boxes of clothes in my room to "sell on ebay" but i never get around to it.
3. i can eat cereal for every meal, but with the exception of captain crunch, i only like boring cereal like corn flakes, rice crispies and multi- grain cheerios. + all my life i've only ever eaten it with skim milk
4. i'm a good sleeper but i can never fall asleep. i go to bed around 3-4am every night. i am not a morning person, but i wish i was.
5. the first fashion blog i ever loved was style bytes. i miss you agathe!
6. i haven't dyed my hair in 5 years
7. my favourite tv show of all time is heartbreak high, why isn't it on dvd?

i spy

i love my sunglasses collection. left column from top to bottom:  oliver peoples pandorra, roxy breakfast club, oakley frogsters, vintage rayban wayfarer, linda farrow vintage aviators. right column from top to bottom: cheapies from beacon's closet, forever 21, mango and h&m. spy optic valentina (top) and clarice (bottom).

due to my big cheeked roundish face shape it centers around two styles, retro and the over sized wayfarer but, there's always been something missing. all my friends and especially my guy are loyal and proud supporters of spy optics sunglasses. i've never been able to get a hands on the right pair for me, until now that is. this week i bought a pair of tortoise shell valentina's and thanks to d. received an amazing pair of cherry clarice's with mirrored lenses. i'm so happy with them! i can't wait to see what spy releases next season to add to my collection. check out their whole line here.

after much assuring from stephanie that it would stretch out and many trips to american apparel i finally bought a u-neck dress. the tightness of the piece always freaked me out because i've almost completely stopped wearing anything form fitting on my top half. i've worn it twice now and i loving it, especially layered with something looser over it. you were right, lady ;). argh, look at the huge hair i had before my haircut. just looking at this picture frustrates me, it's so much easier to deal with now. i wanted to say thank you to fashion jinx for featuring me on his site and saying such nice things about my smile, it's true that i'm probably the smiliest fashion blogger but i can't take myself seriously when i do the "blue steel" face, those pics always get deleted, lol.
