get 'er done

got my work boots on... i adore these. so cute, versatile and if you overlook my lack of driving skills when wearing them, very comfortable. so what if i have to take them off every time i drive? better safe than sorry. my favourite thing to wear them with right now are my jbrand cargos, this is actually the first time i wore them out after scoring them during a shopbop sale. in the spring i think they'll also look great with a little floral dress.
jacket: vintage, sweater: h&m, pants: jbrand, socks: tabio, shoes: aldo necklaces: etsy-tiffany's-marc by marc, bracelets: american eagle
what are your favourite buys of 2010? any disappointments?

winter shorts

i love winter shorts. i prefer dark coloured shorts or denim with black opaques. it's playful and a lot more comfortable/casual then a mini. as a total wolf print freak, i had to get this vintage waylon jennings tee. not only does it have an awesome desert wolf scene it also says the lone wolf on it, hehe. obsession i know.
top: vintage, shorts: vince, tights: tabio 110 denier (thanks guys), boots: thrifted ralph lauren, cardi: diyed american apparel, hat: h&m

pocket full of posies

all i want to wear right now is florals. this dress is a perfect example, dusty muted print, long sleeved mini, 100% vintage perfection. i styled it two ways, one ideally with the best marc by marc boots and one realistically in chucks. you can't work all night in 4 inch heels, at least i can't. i love how i found the perfect pink nail polish to match the flowers and i adore my fav. blind melon engraved lyric tag/dream catcher necklace.
sweater: mango (thanks mom), dress: vintage, tights: tabio (thanks guys), shoes: marc by marc jacobs/chucks, necklace: diy, polish: rimmel kick start

sailor c.

a little sailor moon inspired post title.
i picked up this dress at the new 69 vintage on bloor a few months back. it's funny because i think i saw this piece at my local thrift shop and didn't pick it up b/c the shape was all wrong, of course altered it immediately caught my eye. maybe i'm mistaken, but if not i could have saved m self a few dollars :) still the girls at 69 always give me a special rate so it wasn't too bad. i wore it with one of my favourite pairs of boots. i got these for next to nothing and they're not designer brand or anything but they are awesome. the wood heel has such a great shape and i always get asked about them when i wear them. i can almost walk in them all day too....
agrh, the bangs in these are killing me. i'm so glad they're almost grown out now.
dress: vintage (69 vintage), sweater: thrift, tights: tabio 110 denier (thanks guys), boots: bronx

haul and contest!!!!

this is a haul featuring thrift, h&m, f21 and tabio.
at the end of the video i talk about my first blog contest!!!!
you can win a pair of tabio little heart tights in black and a pair of tabio side patterned over the knee socks in navy, both featured in my tabio video.

all you have to do is comment below with you favourite product from tabio.com. it can be anything from the site. make sure you leave your name so i can contact you if you win. i will put all the entries through a random number generator to pick the winner. contest closes moday nov 30th at 6pm eastern time. it is open to everyone but one entry per person.

my favourite tabio item would actually be a tie between the two products i feature in the video.
the 110 denier tights and the petite floral roll top socks. love those so much!

*** i filmed this on a different camera so that is why it's sideways and also the quality is still processing....

tabio baby

these are the various looks i paired with my tabio socks and tights. i liked everything tabio sent, but i loved the flower tights (1st look), highly recommend them! so stunning. for more information on these products or the company check out my vlog below and tabio.com.
the flower tights. my favourite item and outfit. these tights are durable and stunning. the pattern is pretty, leg lengthening and it doesn't over power an outfit. i paired the tights with a vintage dress and shoes. these buckled babies are so comfortable and at 28$ a great vintage score.
the vertical single side patterned over the knee socks. these surprised me as i wasn't too sure about the pattern at first. i loved their construction the band both held up the sock but also didn't dig into your leg (the video explains this better!) they are a bit pricy, but if you want a great pair of over the knees to invest in these are a good option. i wore them with a vintage reconstructed diy levis skirt, gap sweater, vintage boots and id tag necklace.

the polka dot tights. the tight trend of the season, thanks to the balenciaga fall 09 show. i loved these, they are the same make as my beloved heart print tights, just as silky and good quality. these are a bit more elegant though and perfect dressed up or down. i wore them with some vintage boots and an aritzia studded tee over a tahari chiffon pleated mini + a new hair cut!
the one negative with these is even though they are stronger then most sheer stockings i've tried, they will run if you aren't careful with them. i wouldn't get too sad if they do though because they even look great laddered (i think these girls even did it on purpose ;), check it out.
