current fashion obsession 09.07.10

i've been obsessed with stubbs and wotton for such a long time. the idea of these bespoke slippers as flats is such a tongue and cheek way to prep up an outfit. there are so many different colour combinations when you consider the velvet and the trim, plus the embroidery options are almost endless. sure you can go with the typical monogram but i prefer to pick one of their fantastic images. pirate skulls, flowers, dogs, peace and dollar signs, sea creatures and broken hearts are just some of choices. at the moment i'm loving the anchors and of course the sailor jerry swallows. now if only they didn't cost $450. i guess you got to pay to enter the s&w club. what combination would you all choose?

my reasons for posting this picture:

• it's chuck and vanessa (i know it's really ed westwick and jessica szohr but humor me)
  
• they both look amazing, great basics, great hair, great accessories and i love the pop of colour.
• gossip girl was back this week and the fashion was really stellar as was the last 5mins of the show, scandalous
• i love chuck bass ♥
• i'm also one of the few people who actually loves vanessa
• they're so cute together and they're holding hands ♥ * squeals with glee inside***
• i had to post this so paige could see it, we text each other after we watch each episode and dish on all the good bits, omfg paige! check them out.

*i promise to go back to being a grown adult in my next post and discuss only serious issues plaguing the fashion industry.

omfg it's back

so gossip girl has started again and as much as it was fun showing the whole hamptons/summer vibe of nyc the wardrobe wasn't that hot in the first episode. it's kind of like real life and how you can't build cool layered outfits in the heat. blair did look amazing in her marc at the white ball though. episode two brought much stronger looks. blair wearing a lot of red with marcus, cute little shorts, heart houndstooth bag and that marc bow dress. maybe, she's showing him her love? plus, i'm loving serena's young designer vibe this year. i think her look is going to be less boho and more polished rocker/downtown this year. chuck is always looking good even if i'm biased and i'm liking his much discussed new hair. here are some images, all from fashion spot and you know you love me. wasn't it amazing when blair said omfg? i can't wait for the black out next week.

chuck tuesdays

i was visiting fashionista today and they were discussing gossip girl as per usual for a tuesday. one of the comments was how they should call their posts chuck tuesdays as they have a small obsession with ed's character, i have one as well although dan is quite nice too. so that's where i got the inspiration for this post title. it's also where one nice commenter answered my plea and informed me that my item of obsession from last night's episode was a cardigan from vena cava. as soon as i saw serena in the studded sweater i had to know who made and where i could get it. i've yet to find it for sale online but at least i have a pic from the vena cava website. while there i also fell in love with their leather jackets. i might have to track these down. side note*** i love how serena is starting to rely on chuck, just like a real brother it's great to see his softer side.

it's back. my favourite, gossip girl returned tonight. i don't even know where to begin. i luved serena's looks she was flawless even with unwashed hair. jenny in her valentino and polka dot halter dress, amazing. blair as audrey and lounging in silk pj's. all of it i loved. the boys were great and i felt so bad for chuck. i think he's my favourite even though i think dan's the best looking. next week's preview showed us we're in for even more scandal. i also read lydia hurst filmed an episode. it sucks there's only 4 more episodes until the season's over. well all for now xoxo.
