the day i bought the zara wolf tee i wore in the last outfit post i also bought this wolf shirt from rvca. i just can't get enough. i love the graphic tees that rvca does for guys, the boy has quite a few, so i'm always on the lookout for cool women's pieces from them. last week i also picked up a dress and short sleeve cardi/tee from rvca at artizia. i'm wearing them in some upcoming posts. i love the zippers on alternative hoodies. they way they crinkle up and add some texture to a look when undone. what i'm not sure about is the tights in this post. i'm pretty sure i'm over the colour tights thing. these are a heather grey colour so they're still kind of a neutral but i'm still on the fence on them. should i retire them? i wore a green pair the other day and halfway through the day i couldn't stand them anymore and wanted to take them off but it was too cold. tights are kind of necessary in this weather and with this skirt though as it's almost too short. but you know where they're not necessary? southern utah and vegas, oh yeah 22 more days.

sometimes all you want to wear is cozy, comfy clothes. in fact it happens a little more then just sometimes in my life. sure it's great to have fun with fashion, wear heels or blazers, squeeze into the skinny jeans but i certainly have no problems embracing my low maintenance side. this look epitomizes that. i paired a vintage jersey tee that i cut at the neck with leggings and flat boots. the vest took the outfit from an around the house, casual errand look to work appropriate by giving it a bit more polish, .....sort of, lol. the sun in these shots makes it feel like spring has sprung but we're still freezing in the negative temps here, when will it end!!! i wanted to give a little shout to patty griffin. i am absolutely obsessed with her song, rain at the moment. it's not a new track but for some reason i can stop hitting repeat on it. check it out. ** an update... i tried to fix the rain player so it would play the whole song but it doesn't seem to be working. i urge you to click the link so you can hear it all b/c it's such an amazing song and the verses are incredible. secondly, i wanted to say thanks for all the input on my haircut. i'm going to grow it out for a while and see how it goes, thus the win goes to kristen stewart. happy weekend!
i decided to start growing out my bangs and they are finally long enough to start pinning back and wearing all kirsten stewart like. it's weird getting used to seeing my forehead again. what do you think, is it a good idea or should i go back to the old bangs look? as for the clothes i went easy with jeans, worn in boots and a ruffled tank. i got both the cardi and the circle scarf in new york, they're from madewell. one of the few stores that i wish would venture north of the border. i can't wait for vegas so i can check out the store there and hopefully come home with the jeans, cargos and short boots below. oh.. and check out my new teak credenza. i loveeee it.
it may not be the shearling rick owens jacket of my dreams but i do love this motorcycle coat. i bought it at badlands vintage and it is probably one of my best finds ever. it was only 60$ and it's something i'll hold onto forever. i paired it here with some old and new nyc purchases. my vintage lace back boots and ag jeans from my first trip with my neon yellow striped circle scarf from my most recent trip. i have to get as much wear out of this guy before it's back to the parka because the negative temperatures are coming.... soon.
lots of outfit posts.... this one is a layered up look incorporating my new madewell infinity scarf that i picked up in nyc. i mixed it with some nineties inspired pieces, my cropped aa jersey tee and coloured jeans. all the kids wore coloured jeans in my school in 7th and 8th grade. i had a red pair back then. the necklace is made of this old key i found at a vintage show that decided to put it on a chain. the chain's a little to shinny for it but i still like the look. it goes with almost everything and adds a lived in vibe to things, grounds them. i'm trying to find a winter parka and i would like something that incorporates fur (faux or rabbit). something similar to the look below which i achieved by layering my vintage rabbit vest and my old army coat. but it needs to be one piece and warmer, any suggestions? i also have to add that gossip girl was amazing this week and i'm starting to feel so sorry for chuck but was it just me or are little j's designs just glorified betsey johnson rip offs? oh, and i'm over the twilight series. i feel hard for the second book new moon but the final book breaking dawn has put me off it completely, i threw it across the room. i'll probably still see the movie though because i adore kristen stewart.
